Functional Description
The Frytherm has several tubular product chambers, which are adjoined on both sides by similarly tubular fluid chambers. The product which must be heated or cooled is moved through the product chambers in the axial direction. Rotating scraper arms, which brush over the full contact surfaces of the product/fluid chambers, plunge into the product chamber. They generate a strong turbulence in the product and continuously remove the product film that forms on the heat exchange surface. This ensures an efficient and controlled heat exchange.
The inlet and outlet are arranged such that the product entering the Frytherm displaces all the air inside it. The mechanical seal seals the product chambers off from the surrounding atmosphere. This ensure that the product does not absorb any air inside the Frytherm.
Both product and media chambers are pressure proof to 4 bar (or 8 bar as an option).
