TELESCOPING CHUTE

The Chute

  • Construction can be in any number of sections and diameters depending upon individual requirements.
  • A wide variety of sizes and lengths are available.
  • Sections are rolled with exacting fabrication practices to insure concentricity.
  • Heavy rings reinforce both ends of each section for optimum structural integrity.
Controls

  • An adjustable geared switch limits both extremes of chute travel.
  • An additional limit switch provides a redundant means of control at the upper extreme of travel for added safety.
  • A slack cable sensing units are located at the bottom of the chute; chute rises automatically as pile height increases.
  • An electric cable reel and cable is included for the sensing units.
Actuation

  • A grooved drum power winch with electrically released, mechanically applied brake is used.
  • Wire rope used in IWRC Premium Grade, sized for a minimum of 5:1 safety factor.

  • Construction of abrasion resistant steel, Corten, mild steel, various stainless alloys, or other materials.
  • Liners or abrasion resistant steel, UHMW, stainless steel.
  • Local or remote control panels with a wide range of control options.
  • Electricals for hazardous or extreme environments.
  • Sensing devices for pile height and chute position.
