Carbone Lorraine Chemical Equipment Division
Carbone Lorraine has developed an entire range of
anticorrosion equipment built using
graphite
and
noble metals
(tantalum, titanium, zirconium, etc.).
This comprises primarily
heat exchangers,
columns
and
reactors used to transfer or handle highly corrosive gases and
liquids. They are used in the chemicals and pharmaceuticals industry , as well as in the surface treatment of metals and
fertilizer production.
Safety: perfectly sealed, Carbone Lorraine's anticorrosion equipment can be used to handle gas and fluids
in hostile environments.
Environmentally friendly: Carbone Lorraine's anticorrosion equipment can unlock energy savings and thus
helps to further the cause of environmental protection.
Innovation is an essential pillar for the strategy of CL-CED.
It is founded on :
an efficient research & development department,
but also on
the setting-up of think tanks which call upon the collaborators
of the Division.
the successful methods which are capable of transforming the
fledgling idea into industrial success
Graphilor® 3 joint-free tubes, 6 metres in length:
these 6-metre joint-free tubes are a measure of safety for clients who deal with extremely corrosive products.
PTFE columns with a diameter of up to DN 1600:
technical prowess still unmatched on the market.
XTH impregnation: this is a world exclusivity which
impregnates isostatic graphite to the core with pure PTFE.
Graphilor® 3: the only isostatic graphite
(with ultra-fine grains) on the market.
CL-Clad®: a new brazing process patented by
Carbone Lorraine.
Systems: a new hydrochloric acid synthesis unit
with energy recovery has recently been added to the range of Carbone Lorraine systems. This new unit forms part of an approach
encompassing environmental respect, with its integrated steam generation module; it therefore contributes to economising
on energy.
